Marilyn Monroe: Remembering a True Legend

Marilyn Monroe in The Prince and The Showgirl 1957

85 years ago today a baby girl was born who would become one of the most famous women in the world. That girl was Norma Jean Baker. Hollywood beckoned for the young Norma Jean and complete with a new name the world was soon eating out of her hand.

As we all know Marilyn’s life tragically ended on August 5th 1962. She was just 36. The world lost one of its brightest ever stars that day and almost 40 years later her light still shines. Marilyn still had much more to give professionally and I believe she would still be acting today if she was still with us.

Today the world remembers Norma Jean – the girl, the actress the icon.
