Tomorrow sees the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. The final movie which had it’s London premiere last week marks the end of the Harry Potter story.
The boy wizard, created by J K Rowling has become a worldwide phenomenon and has captured the imagination of a generation.
Fans up and down the country will already be preparing to head to the cinemas to be among the first to see the film at midnight showings. For many it’s going to be a sad farewell. Although when questioned at last week’s premiere about writing new Potter material, J K Rowling answered “Never say never”. We can but hope!
But for now at least it’s a goodbye to Harry Potter, Hermione and Ron. I won’t be heading to the cinema at midnight (the hour night bus journey home puts me off!), but will be at the first showing tomorrow morning. I’ll be prepared with tissues – I know it’s going to be emotional!
