Armistice Day 11-11-11

The ceasefire that ended World War 1 in 1918 came into effect at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. The country fell silent to honour the dead and mark the end of this bitter war.

The sacrifice made by the service men and women of past and present conflicts can not be underestimated and must never be forgotten.

We honour in silence now to show our respect to those who give everything for this country.

Today and on Remembrance Sunday we give thanks and remember them.
