Twenty years ago today we lost one of the great music icons of our time. The frontman of Queen, Freddie Mercury died from AIDS related pneumonia at his London home on November 24th 1991 at the age of 45 .

I remember hearing the news the next morning and everyone talking about it in primary school. I was only 10 years old and didn’t at the time fully realise the tragic loss of this music great.

He is one of those few people, icons, legends, who have left us far too early. Below is one little taste of Freddie’s entertaining genius – Barcelona performed with Montserrat CabballĂ©.
Freddie, we thank you.
