When choosing this week’s “Song for the Weekend” I looked back at the albums that have defined my life so far.

Björk released the album “Post” back in 1995 but it was a couple of years later that it came to my attention. I bought it on cassette and became slightly obsessed with it. These were the days when I was full of teenage angst, experimenting with hair colour, and trying to work out who I was as a person.

I played this album on my Walkman to death. Those of us that remember cassettes will know how quickly they wore out and there was always the fear that they would be chewed up! “Post” was an album that I wore out quickly!

I still love Björk’s music today. Her unique sound and lyrical ability is mesmerising. It was hard to single out one favourite track from the album but for me “Hyperballad” is one of the stand out songs.
