The Olympic Flame Comes East

The Olympic flame has finally arrived in London after spending the last two months weaving through the country. The flame has visited iconic landmarks such as Stonehenge and Windsor Castle on its journey and today came tantalisingly close to the final destination of the Olympic Stadium. It was lowered into the Tower of London on Friday evening by abseil and yesterday it was carried through Stratford and through London’s east end boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest.

Crowds of people lined the route and cheered as the flame passed. With the countdown now in it’s final few days it is a very exciting time to be in London and in particular East London.
